Hanging Out in Auburn, CA

I'm currently in Auburn, CA, staying with my niece and her husband, the D'Amicos, both Naturopathic doctors. I'm meeting with clients at their clinic in downtown Auburn, an idyllic setting, looking out on redwoods by a lovely creek, just up the street from quaint Old Town. Sandro (my niece's husband) specializes in SRT (self regulation therapy), a modality that assists in relieving stress and trauma from the nervous system.

KMVR "Earth Mysteries" Interview: Discussing Grief and Loss

Haines Ely is one of my most favorite interviewers. He hosts the "Earth Mysteries" KMVR-FM radio show in Nevada City, CA. Today he invited me to join in a meaningful discussion with Lori Whittiker about grieving and loss. I come in around 22:23, responding to some very good points that Lori has made about purposeful grieving being "the extension of love."

Sacto RIR

This "RIR" took place in a lovely home in Sacramento. A few of the women had lost their partners, all of whom didn't hesitate to show up!

Sacto Learning Exchange

The Sacramento Learning Exchange is another old favorite speaking venue. Last week some clients showed up for my talk. It felt like old times. Soon, I'll upload some video from the evening, a fun tuning-in with a gal in the audience...

More about the Seattle Women's Show

This time I was situated in the appropriate "Seminar Stage." It had been about four years since I spoke at this venue, when Margo (the owner/director) used to put me out on the catwalk on the mainstage. This wasn't too conducive to the "tuning-in" segment of my talk. I once saw a (non-physical) beside a gal who was standing down in the audience. The "visitor" projected the image of a pink Cadillac and pearls, then pantomimed a "thumbs-up" gesture. Turns out, it was a message of encouragement from recently "deceased" Mary Kay of the cosmetic company of the same name!

Tina the Tree Lady

Tina is a client and apprentice alumna who used to coordinate for me in the Seattle area. She did a wonderful job assisting me at my presentations for the Seattle Women's Show. Let me explain why I call her "The Tree Lady."

First Day at the Seattle Women's Show

I don't know why they put me in the "Ask the Doctor" seminar...unless I received my MD degree in an alternate, parallel reality! An old client from years past whom I'd never met in person was in the audience, and came up afterward. She confirmed something that most clients discover. She said, "Whenever you've read me, it often make so little sense at the time. But eventually, not only does the information start to make sense, but there's so much to it!" It was wonderful to finally meet this sweet gal in person.

Willie Mays and Precognitive Dreaming

I hope you watched the recent interview with Willie Mays, the baseball legend, on Charlie Rose. What a sweet, thoughtful guy. It's wonderful that he out there on a book tour, spreading the secret to his success:

March 13: Auburn, CA "Gig"

This was created by Deborah for Louise's presentation to the Association for Healing Arts & Artisans in Auburn, CA. Nice job! This engagement will follow a few days in Sacramento, presenting (and "tuning-in") at the Learning Exchange—a favorite old venue of Louise's—and an evening of "Readings in the Round" in a client's home.

The Closing of the "Grooviest Bookstore in Chicago"

I was unaware of the closing of Transitions Bookstore in 2008 until recently...
